Not all heroes wear capes, although some might wear running shoes or even a serape!
So it was in a city by the bay far, far away, where two heroic detectives called Starsky & Hutch worked together as partners. Valiantly did Starsky and Hutch wage the good fight against the villains who came up through the sewers and manholes of Bay City. The partners fought with courage, panache, humour, a flashy red car, and the odd bomb going off around them. Through the thick and thin of all they did, Starsky & Hutch never lost sight of the community they protected and served. And never did the detectives lose sight of each other for, above all else, they were best friends who placed their inviolable trust in each other.
This is their story. The Bay City Voice chronicles Starsky & Hutch’s fight on the streets of Bay City as it happened, and tracks their famous partnership as it evolved over time.
But this is not only the story of the two detectives. It is also the story of those who brought their story to us … the writers, the directors, the actors, and a rogues’ gallery of colourful characters.
All this we have observed from our armchair inquiries and from being on the beat where we have walked in Starsky & Hutch’s footsteps.
